Mediaman Jamim Shah dies in gun attack
 

Chairman of Channel Nepal television and valley's largest cable operator Space Time Network, Jamim Shah has died in a day-light shooting at Lazimpat of capital on Sunday afternoon.

 

Shah, 47, had sustained bullet injuries in his head and chest after two unidentified gunmen in a motorcycle (Ba 15 Pa 633) opened fire at the private car (Ba 1 Cha 2151) near the French Embassy. The assailants immediately fled from the scene after the incident.

Shah had been rushed to TU Teaching hospital in Maharajgunj for treatment, where the doctors soon declared him dead.

Shah's driver Mathuraman Malakar sustained bullet injuries in his leg, is undergoing treatment at the same hospital. His condition is said to be stable

Meanwhile, Television Broadcaster's Association has condemned the incident and demanded the reality be made public within 24 hours.
