NHRC urges the govt over proper security

National Human Rights Commission (NHRC), national rights watchdog has urged the government to improve the security situation in the Capital and outside.

Issuing a statement on Monday, NHRC said recent reports of its regular monitoring of incidents of abduction and murder in Kathmandu and across the country indicated that people's right to live in peace and security has been gradually eroding.

NHRC has also condemned the vandalism of a vehicle belonging to its Mid-Regional Office in Nepalgunj by some unidentified men.

The rights body has urged the government to immediately bring the culprits of all the incidents of human rights violations to book and enforce law and order.
