Cadres of the Unified CPN (Maoist) pelted stones at the vehicle of Health Minister Umakanta Chaudhary in Bardia district on Tuesday. The stones hit a vehicle of German Technische Zentrum (GTZ) and inflicted damage on it.

Minister Chaudhary was heading to Gulariya to inaugurate the newly built District Hospital. A staffer of an NGO has been injured in the incident.

Police have detained four Maoist cadres in connection with the attack. The Maoists had attacked Chaudhary in Mahendranagar on Monday also.
