An unidentified group has shot dead a cadre of the Unified CPN (Maoist) in Bara district on  Thursday morning (July 29).

Keshari Prasad Yadav of Parshuram VDC of the district, was shot at when he was sleeping in the house early this morning.Yadav was a member of the Maoists' Bhojpura Rajya Samiti.

According to police, Yadav, who recieved two bullets on chest and abdomen, died while being taken to the hospital. Samyukta Jantantrik Terai Mukti Morcha (Ajad faction) has taken the responsibility of the murder.

Meanwhile, Unified CPN (Maoist), Bara has called a bandh in the district protesting against the murder.
